Successful ICS communication with DAKOSY with 21 EU countries

Since the launch of the new EU-wide security system ICS (Import Control System) more than one million applications to a total of 21 EU customs systems have been made since 1 January 2011 through the ICS platform of DAKOSY AG.

"Our ICS platform allows customers to reach any country  – largely unaffected by any special features of the national systems  – while at the same time being able to easily integrate the new IT processes into their own processes. These advantages have persuaded many carriers to meet the reporting obligations through our platform. Within Europe we thus count among the leading ICS service providers", says DAKOSY board member Dieter Spark. "We are well prepared to handle the ICS communication volume that is expected to continue to rise over the coming weeks and months."

The range of ICS solutions (EDI and web applications) of DAKOSY AG is currently being used by around 50 internationally operating carriers. Apart from the number one German airfreight company  - Lufthansa Cargo AG – this also includes seven carriers that are in the top 10 of the largest container shipping companies worldwide. Currently, the customs systems of the following 21EU countries can be reach through DAKOSY: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, UK, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, Spain and Cyprus. Over the next few months, following customer requests, we will gradually include the customs system of Estland in our service, which will provide almost full EU–wide coverage.
