TRUCKSTATION
Rapid communication & information for the container trucking
TRUCKSTATION supports haulage companies and terminals in all aspects of container handling associated with the Port of Hamburg. The terminals are notified about planned transport operations via so-called transport advance notices. The terminals send status information to the haulage companies and notify about any errors in the transport advance notice, e.g.: incorrect height data of the container, unexpected delays in the container transshipment or missing papers (e.g. exemption).
In this way, the haulage company can improve the quality of its entire planning and scheduling whilst avoiding empty and incorrect journeys. The subsequent tour plan allows the haulage company to communicate the individual transport details to the terminal, e.g. planned arrival time of the driver and license plate number of the truck and thus realize rapid and preferred clearance at the terminal (keyword: Green track, port track, fast track). Of course, the customer is part of the communication group, allowing him to utilize the benefits. The customer sends orders to the truck via a standard interface or from ACTION or UNIKAT.
The truck sequence has been improved further with the research project BIT (Business Integration Truck). The trucker can view the current situation at the terminal and arrange a time slot in the so-called truck appointment via the new modules for slot management and truck appointment. Further improvements in the handling are aimed for with this. Besides the Port of Hamburg, he or she can also contact the Bremen Ports and Lübeck/Travemünde Ports via the TRUCKSTATION.
