ZAPP-Air for export customs and logistics handling at all German airports
ZAPP-Air for export customs and logistics handling at all German airports

ZAPP-Air supports the export customs and logistics handling at all German airports for a faster and more effective performance.

The ATLAS processes “advance notification“, “presentation to customs”, “exit confirmation” and “diversion” can be performed automatically and irrespectively of the type of delivery (direct delivery or console handling). All partners are involved in the ZAPP-Air process handling (air freight forwarders, handling agents, carrier, customs). In case of a direct delivery via ZAPP-Air the presentation to ATLAS can be performed RFID-assisted and/or via a phone hotline. In case of an RFID presentation, the delivering trucks are equipped with a small RF module (RFID tag). When a truck arrives at the airport, the RFID tag informs ZAPP-Air via the base station. ZAPP-Air uses the tag and basis station IDs to identify the process and automatically trigger the customs presentation and qualification. Responses from ATLAS (e.g. “exit approval”) are returned by ZAPP-Air to the RFID tag via the basis station.
