The different customs regulations and procedures across Europe and the world present business parties with tremendous challenges. Many internationally operating companies and logistics service providers fall back on local individual solutions or have individually developed software solutions. However, these must be permanently adapted owing to continual changes to the legislation, frequently on a fairly short-term basis. This usually turns out to be very time and cost intensive.

The EU has taken the first harmonization steps with the European oriented customs procedures NCTS, ECS (in Germany AES), EMCS and ICS. Nevertheless, there are not yet any uniform interfaces for these processes, as the regulations of the EU allow the individual member states space to integrate national peculiarities.

DAKOSY has confronted these problems and offers its customers reduced complexity and uniform interfaces to many European customs authorities and other institutions involved in the transport process. Other customs authorities are usually integrated at the request of the customer.
