How would you like to join our team?
Anyone who trains with us as an IT specialist not only gets to know the digital world, but also gains a deep insight into international logistics chains. We have been training young people for 40 years and many of our best junior employees have completed their training with us.
Our goal for your training is for you to learn to work independently and assume responsibility while developing the software and solutions that our customers work with everyday in the port of Hamburg and worldwide.
DAKOSY currently employs eight trainees, and we are seeking additional trainees for the following positions (start date August 1, 2023):
- Information technology specialist for application development

In cooperation with the Nordakademie Elmshorn, we offer a bachelor's degree program in "Business Informatics". Over a period of 3.5 years, you will complete one of these courses and graduate with a "Bachelor of Science" degree.
During your studies, you will apply your newly acquired knowledge directly at the company, as you will alternate between theory modules at the university and practical phases at DAKOSY.
As part of a project team, you will have the chance to prove yourself in specialist areas at an early stage and to continue to expand your technical and methodological skills.

Which participant is located at each link along the transport chain, who needs which specific data, and exactly what information is exchanged between which parties? Many individual processes that are closely interconnected result in efficient transports across continents.
If you are studying information technology or logistics, there are many niches and projects for you to try out. If you would like to do an internship with us, you will work on day-to-day operations and support the project teams. We do not advertise for internship positions; independent applicants should take the initiative to submit an application and must be studying computer science or logistics as their core subject.
We can also supervise your student research project or thesis on a topic related to software development and quality assurance. The main condition is that your topic proposal fits to our scope of work and projects.

With our working student positions, we offer students of computer science who are enthusiastic about logistics in all its facets a practical entry into professional life. As a working student, you will probably stay with us for several years. Our departments and projects are the schools where you will learn the industry's software development requirements from scratch. As a working student, you will generally work up to 20 hours per week on projects and/or on our day-to-day operations, with flexible hours and a fixed hourly wage. We do not post job openings for working students. However, your proactive application could well be just what we are looking for.
