Notes on the migration of user accounts in IMP-Direct

Summary of the most important changes (also see newsletter no. 2):

  1. Multi-stage registration: in future, the registration will no longer take place in one dialogue, but in two steps:
  • Participant code
  • E-mail and password

If the main page is not called up directly via "www-imp.dakosy.de", but a subpage (www-imp.dakosy.de/imp/xhtml/...), the order may be reversed for security reasons:

  • E-mail and password
  • Participant code
  1. E-mail address replaces the user name: After the changeover of the user management the current user name will be replaced by your e-mail address. As a collective address is often stored for users today (import, interchange or else), there will be two e-mail addresses in the future:
  • User address: This address is used exlusively for logging in and user-related tasks such as resetting a password. The address must be unique. This also means that collective accounts such as "Import“, „Transshipment“ or „Interchange“ will no longer be permitted.
  • Notification address: This address is automatically displayed when e-mail addresses are specified in the IMP-Direct web application (e.g. e-mail notification for import message instructions). It cannot be used for logging-in (see user address) if it is different from the user address.

The notification address can be overwritten in the user administration. It does not have to be unique.

Preparation for user migration

To migrate users, you will need to change your user address if you are currently using an e-mail address that appears more than once in IMP.

For the remaining users who, until now, did not correct their email address, a dialogue will appear after logging in, informing you that your e-mail address is used several times. In this dialogue, your previous e-mail address is displayed as the notification address and you only need to enter an alternative, unique user address which will replace the user name in future. Regardless of the pop-up dialogue, you can also edit the e-mail addresses directly in the user administration from 07.02.2024.

Accounts that contain e-mail addresses that are used multiple times cannot be migrated and will no longer be usable after the migration.

Partially: Technical maintenance work on 26.05.2024

Due to technical maintencance work on Sunday, 26.05.2024 between 6 p.m. and approx. 8 p.m. the communciation with the customs system ATLAS will be interrupted. Affected by this is the summary declaration at the terminals Eurogate, Unikai, Rhenus Midgard and Wallmann. Data received at this point of time, will be processed automatically after the completion of the maintenance work.
