Changeover from ATB to MRN in IMP

The MRN was assigned as leading reference for the summary declaration with ATLAS release 10.1. The ATB no. will nevertheless continued to be created and can be used for the follow-up procedures, likewise the MRN, until further notice. 

IMP will change the processing step by step. Both MRN and ATB will be transmitted, so you can decide on your own when you change your systems from ATB to MRN. We already published information concerning the status messages in the newsletter 05/2024.

The description of the IMP StatusRequest for the declarant will probably be updated in December.

The following list provides an overwiew about the planned milestones. We will inform you about the finalised dates in another newsletter.

MRN information service for summary declarations

If needed, you can use an information service in IMP-Direct until the status messages and displays (see newsletter 05/2024) are being changed: via Hilfe (help) -> ATB-MRN-Suchtool (serach tool) you will reach a function where you can search for an MRN related to an ATB or the other way around.

This function is already available in IMP.

Urgent: Changeover to ICS2 requires the adjustments of the manifest interface

With the changeover to ICS2 the adjustments of the manifest interface to IMP (IFTMCS) becomes mandatory!

The ATLAS system of the German customs does not only require another preliminary paper type (N355), but also the specification of the BL as specified in the ENS in ICS2. 

Manifests which are transmitted with preliminary paper type EUMA from ICS2 will be rejected with error code 290 from IMP. You will not receive an ATB.

Carriers who did not carry out the changeover, can correct erroneous data in IMP-Direct by using the function "erroneous mainfests".
