Starting in the middle of June, forwarders can use the solution to directly commission rail transport companies for hinterland transport. Many rail transport companies are already digitally connected via DAKOSY.

By autumn 2018, it will also be possible use the application to commission trucking companies. In addition to making transport orders more efficient, the forwarder has another decisive advantage: after the order has been placed via CargoSoft GE, the forwarder digitally receives comprehensive status reports from the transport company and is thereby constantly informed about the status of the transport - completely automatically and without sending queries.

The integration of the transport ordering process into the forwarding solution CargoSoft GE marks a further step towards an integrated DAKOSY GE interface. Currently CargoSoft GE is available with the Customs solution ZODIAK GE in a single interface so that customers can manage the entire logistics process along the transport chain, including Customs clearance, commissioning of hinterland transport, and invoicing – simply, transparently and cost-effectively, using shipping data that needs only be input once. The integration of transport orders is a convenient addition to the package of existing functions. In addition, our development team is working on completing a wide range of air freight handling services for imports and exports by the end of the year.
