I like to start my workday with a hot coffee I can enjoy by myself in peace and quiet.
Mareike (born in 1981) grew up in Bad Hersfeld, a town known for the theatre festival held in the ruins of a former monastery and, due to its geographic location, as being “the heart of Germany”—a central hub for many logistics companies. After her high school graduation, she studied business administration with a focus on logistics at the Career Academy for Business Administration in Eisenach. She then began her professional career at the parcel delivery service GLS in Neuenstein, Hesse. There, she initially worked in the international division as an Operations and Performance Specialist and later in Business Development.
In 2009, she made a foray into the logistics division of an industrial company, but then moved to Kühne + Nagel in Hamburg in 2011 to work as an Air Freight Business Analyst. Serving as the liaison between operations and IT, she played a key role in the development and global rollout of the company’s proprietary TMS system. After the successful implementation of the system, she moved to contract logistics as a project manager.
In the fall of 2025, she caught our attention at DAKOSY. Her profile immediately sparked great interest for both our company and CargoSoft, given that the two companies are working on the redevelopment and merger of their TMS solutions. Since April 1, 2026, she has been an employee working on a part-time basis (30 hours per week), spending half her time consulting for one of DAKOSY’s major clients and the other half serving as a product owner on the new development of the TMS solution for CargoSoft and DAKOSY.
She really appreciates the friendly working environment, the flattened hierarchy, and her role as a communication facilitator between the TMS teams at DAKOSY and CargoSoft. She feels at home at both companies, but also enjoys working from home every now and then. In addition, she values the many benefits DAKOSY offers its employees.
In her free time, she’s just as active as she is at work. She loves to stay fit (jogging, the gym, Reformer Pilates) or attend events with friends and family, such as the recent concert by the Hamburg Goldkehlchen at the Volksparkstadion. She’s currently looking forward to the Christmas season with all its wonderful festivities.
