The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) fundet the establishment of a digital test field in the Port of Hamburg with almost 15 million euros.
SANTANA is an acronym for Service and Data Network Port of Hamburg. The Hamburg Port Authority A.ö.R. and DAKOSY Datenkommunikationssystem AG jointly developed SANTANA as partners and received support from the associated partners Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), the HHLA subsidiary Hamburg Vessel Coordination Center (HVCC) and EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg GmbH. The project was also supported by the Ministry of Economics and Innovation (BWI).
The aim of the “SANTANA” project was to set up a digital test field in the Port of Hamburg, which focuses on linking the existing digital networks of public transport and infrastructure management with those of private-sector logistics to create a network of networks.
The project term ended on 30.09.2024 after 2 years 9 months. The project budget amounted to around €15 million. Of this, 80% was funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) as part of the DigiTest funding program.
On November 11, 2024, the project's festive closing event took place at the Hamburg Port Authority's premises. The new service marketplace for digital services, “Marketplace.Hamburg”, was presented as part of this event.
