Department: Java App developer for ZODIAK GE
I like to start my workday with a breakfast sandwich from the bakery.
After completing his A-levels, Paul Tamburowski (26) began studying computer engineering at the TU Hamburg Harburg. He quickly realized that the curriculum was purely technical and too theoretical for him, so he decided to start an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development at Dr. Klein Baufinanzierung in Lübeck. He was able to complete the apprenticeship in just two and a half years and then in February 2022, he started as a Junior Java Developer at CIMT AG, an IT consulting company in Hamburg. In 2024, a recruiter approached him and offered a job at DAKOSY. Having heard positive things about working at DAKOSY from some of his personal contacts, he decided to join us in July 2024.
In the ZODIAK GE department he works together with eight colleagues as part of the Import/SumA team. This suits him well, as he isn't the lone wolf type. He also enjoys the fact that on Tuesdays all his team colleagues are in the office at DAKOSY and that they can exchange ideas face-to-face without having to use virtual channels. At the same time, he also benefits from the flexible remote work policy which allows him to work from home three days a week and better organize his private activities.
In his free time, he enjoys yoga and bouldering. Twice a week he meets up with a friend at the climbing wall to tackle more difficult climbs together. What he particularly likes about DAKOSY is that there are plenty of opportunities to do things together outside of working hours and across different departments, such as meeting up for playing cards and board games in the DAKOSY lounge at the weekly get-together or going bouldering with some of his colleagues.
