EMP Vista

Speeding up the export process from beginning to end

Exciting, future-oriented and successful - these are the characteristics with which IHATEC's EMP 4.0 project, whose timeline ended on March 31, 2022, takes its leave. But the achievements and developments that have already been accomplished do not stop there. Under the label EMP Vista - as an expansion of the DAKOSY Export Management Platform (EMP) - both the previously-completed functions and services continue in (pilot) operation as well as the ongoing collaborative developments with the project and pilot participants.

The greatest benefits for DAKOSY customers will result from the enhanced transparency of export processes, the event-driven comparison of target/actual data for the ETA at the seaport, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). From the empty container depot to the seaport, 14 use cases centered on the question "Is everything running as planned or are there deviations?" are integrated into the new EMP Vista platform. They ensure that the supply chain from shipper to port becomes substantially more efficient for all logistics partners involved.

The first use cases were included in the pilot operation in the course of the research project. These include Track & Trace, dangerous goods management, and the document cloud. Others will follow shortly - all under the umbrella of the new EMP Vista platform.

For example, the Track & Trace module enables a very high level of transparency in the transport process and quickly illuminates all issues in the event of a deviation from the transport plan by compiling information from a wide variety of sources. These include hinterland movements, terminal movements, customs status, ship departures, ship reports and many more.
