The right customs software was quickly found by following a personal recommendation, recalls Lilia Litke, authorized officer at Atlantis Zollspedition, explaining: “We have been with DAKOSY since 2010 and from the start have enjoyed a good working relationship based on trust. We initially worked with the ZODIAK Classic customs program and then migrated to the current ZODIAK GE software in June 2021. We use the import, export, NCTS, summary declaration and customs warehouse procedures. Our team particularly appreciates the modules for import and export, as they provide a quick and easy overview and simplify the linking to add-ons and sub-modules. The customs warehouse module also stands out due to the way it facilitates process tracking and its clarity.”
Online training for the new software took place shortly before the transition to ZODIAK GE. Litke explains: “Our team is comprised of nine employees. Everyone has to be able to do everything here, i.e. everyone needs to know how to operate all the customs modules. That's why the online training was the perfect solution, as all employees were able to participate. Thanks to the many real-life examples, the training was very well-grounded and prepared us for our day-to-day business with the new software.”
Atlantis Zollspedition's range of services is particularly beneficial to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as their customs tasks can be completely covered. In addition to customs services, customers are now also increasingly requesting transportation and logistics services. Shortly after the successful introduction of ZODIAK GE, the management began investigating electronic TMS forwarding software. Once again, DAKOSY's solution met the company's needs.
ZODIAK GE can be expanded with a range of forwarding modules to provide electronic support and significantly simplify order processing right through to invoicing. The standardized user interfaces and the availability of data across all customs and forwarding functionalities make it easy to use. It eliminates manual steps such as the time-consuming switching between different software solutions and multiple data entries. Since last year, the EMP/ZAPP export management platform has also helped to accelerate export customs processes in the Port of Hamburg.
